Anyway, I have been frequenting CSS over the past 2 weeks. I'm currently working with the Humanities Department, together with Ivan, Wei Long and Tanyaw, on an enrichment programme organised for the "Elite" sec 1s. It will be a 5-weeks course where we will be imparting our research and presentation skills to the students, in order to prepare them for an upcoming environmental competition by the SembCorp.
The preparation for the course is damn tedious. From proposal to lecture notes, to activity sheets, there are damn lots of stuff to prepare. Though I have to admit that wei long has been doing most of the preparation stuff so far. Anyway, he will be leaving for the China trip in a week's time and he won't be able to join us in teaching the kids. So it means that it is down to only me and ivan teaching (with tanyaw starring as the guest lecturer in week 4) for the whole course. Damn. I am so not confident that I can deliver well. Just PRAY so. The vision of myself mumbling/stunning in front of the class, and the kids staring at me blankly, is just so disheartening. Well, the journey has already began though, and there's no point of return now since Mrs Teo has given the approval to go ahead and with all the teachers pinning so much hope on us. I can only strive now and give my best during the course. God Bless.
At the same time, I am persuading my boss to hire me for the month of March. Well, now it's still under the pending period and we are still negotiating the pay. $800 a month is way too little man. My previous vacation attachment with him was $2000 a month la. WTH. Not that I am that money-minded, but it's hard earned money k?! (if you understand what kind of job I'm working on) Anyway, if he really hires me, then I will be working 5 days a week, with Wednesday permanently off as I have to go back to CSS to teach. Not bad eh, at this rate, I might be earning my first $10,000 by the end of the year! (provided that I can't work during my 2.1 sem - damn sad)
